Visit the Basilica of San Petronio which is one of the largest religious building in the Catholic World. Take a trip to Galleria Ferrari with Formula 1 cups and exhibits and films on the car's history. While operas are performed at the Teatro Comunale from December to May, there are other classical music venues at the Basilica di Santa Maria dei Servi and the Accademia Filarmonica.Visit the dance performances which are presented in the Piazza Maggiore in July and August. By Plane; - Bologna's Guglielmo Marconi airport is situated 6 km from the city centre. There are no porters available, although there is a limited number of luggage trolleys which are free of charge. There is also a bureau de change facility. From the airport to the city centre: By taxi: taxis are available from the airport to the city centre. The journey takes approx 15 minutes. By bus: the Aerobus bus service operates from outside the main terminal building between 06:00-23:50. It operates approximately every 20 minutes and tickets can be purchased on board. The journey takes approx 20-30 minutes making only 2 stops along the way to the city centre. The nearest bus-stop to the hotel is: Via Indipendenza-Arena del Sole theatre. An alternative bus service is cittadino 91 which operates every hour from just outside the airport. Tickets can be bought at the tobacco kiosk inside the main terminal building, this bus stops at all stops on the way into the city consequently take much longer. By car: -Take motorway exits: Bologna, Borgo Panigale, Casalecchio, Arcoveggio, San Lazzaro. -Freeway exit number 7 in the direction of centre.
